Cinnamon
I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
- Proverbs 7:17
The primary root of the word "cinnamon" means "emitting an odor," while spiritually it speaks of holiness and set-apartness. In the Song of Solomon, cinnamon grows in a locked garden that Yeshua calls "my sister, [my] spouse" (Song of Solomon 4:12-14).
Thanks be to God, who always leads us triumphant in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. For we are a fragrance of Christ to God (2 Corinthians 2:14-15).
