Father's Day Pocket-Size Kits
Tolls and Parking Kit
What you will need:
empty film canister or small resealable plastic container (from dollar store)
old map
scissors
coins (quarters, dimes, nickels)
glue
What to do:
1. Cut a 1 ½-inch x 3-inch strip out of an old map.
2. Wrap map strip around the canister and glue.
3. Fill kit with mixed change: quarters, dimes, and nickels. (Toll road kit can hold up to $6.50 in change.)
First-Aid Kit
What you will need:
empty film canister or small resealable plastic container (from dollar store)
red and white construction paper
scissors
antiseptic wipes
band-aids
gauze
red ribbon or yarn
trial-size pack Tylenol
glue
What to do:
1. Cut out a 1 ½-inch x 3-inch strip of red construction paper. Cut out a 1 ½-inch x 2-inch strip of white construction or typing paper. Trace the cross pattern and carefully cut out of the white paper strip (this way the red paper will show through).
2. Wrap red paper strip around the film canister and glue. Wrap the white strip of paper over the red paper and glue in place.
3. Tie a ribbon around a small amount of gauze and place in the canister along with small band-aids, antiseptic wipes, and trial-size Tylenol.
Office Kit
What you will need:
empty film canister or small resealable plastic container (from dollar store)
plastic-coated paperclips
rubber bands
thumbtacks
colorful paper
glue
What to do:
1. Cut a 1 ½-inch x 3-inch strip of colorful paper out and decorate as you like.
2. Wrap paper around the film canister and glue.
3. Fill the canister with rubber bands, thumbtacks, paperclips, and anything else you can think of to help Dad at the office!
